  6. About DTX
  7. =========
  8. DTX is an editor for textures and digital sounds in the game Descent.
  9. It might also become a full-fledged Descent level editor, if I get
  10. enough encouragement from the right directions.
  11. DTX requires Windows 3.1 or higher.

  14. Features
  15. ========
  16. - Textures: Display, animate, save as BMP, replace with any BMP file
  17. - Sounds: Play, save as WAV, replace with any WAV file
  18. - Supports Descent registered versions 1.0 and 1.4

  21. Installation
  22. ============
  23. Put DTX.EXE and DTX.DAT in a directory of your choice. Create an icon
  24. for DTX.EXE, or run it from the File Manager. DTX will create the file
  25. DTX.INI in your Windows directory.

  28. Registration
  29. ============
  30. DTX is distributed as shareware. This means that you may use DTX
  31. for 30 days to evaluate it. If you continue to use it after that period,
  32. you must register the software.

  34. The cost is $15 US. If you are a CompuServe member you can register
  35. the product online by GOing SWREG and entering registration number 5995.
